In 2009, Sherry Grimes established the catering company Anderson’s 1949 -brooklyn-. Sherry, a former Neuroscientist and life-long food enthusiast completed her formal training at The French Culinary Institute after over ten years of self-directed culinary adventures. During her culinary studies, she honed her skills as a student cook at L’Ecole, the International Culinary Center of The French Culinary Institute, serving classic and contemporary French cuisine. Upon completion at The French Culinary Institute, she was quickly hired as a Sauté Chef at one of New York’s finest seasonal restaurants, Superfine in DUMBO.
In 2012, she was chosen to cook for President Obama and the First Lady at a presidential fundraiser at Jean-Georges’ ABC Kitchen
